There is something very very wrong with your FSX installation if the ORBX region installer is not adding the region to your Scenery Library automatically. Or is deleting already installed regions. For Instance when you install SAK it should make an ORBX folder if you didn't have one previously. Inside the Orbx folder there would be: a folder named: FTX_NA in that folder there would be four sub-folders: 1. FTX_NA_SAK05_SCENERY 2. FTX_NA_SAK06_CVX 3. FTX_NA_SAK07_MESH 4. FTX_NA_SAK08_CUSTOM As you install more regions they will follow the same format FTX_NA_(region (pnw, crm etc.)_SCENERY,CVX ETC. No need to arrange anything in the ORBX folder the installer does it all automatically. If your install isn't doing it this way then something is AFU!!!! In the FSX Scenery Library the same file format will be found for the region you installed.

BTW I keep meaning to ask if there is some way to have page numbers listed at the bottom of the screen like they are at the top left? That way when your at the bottom of a page and there are more posts in more pages you will know to open the next page to read all the posts.

Don, just for S&G's go into the Vector Configurator Tool > Water Features and turn off Frozen Surface (Winter Only). That should get rid of your trees. If it doesn't, check for a full moon, because there is a whole lot of lunacy going on here! PS - I second Spud's idea. Get your FS stuff sorted out first though (unless it's a 2 second job to add the page links at the bottom). Not much of a problem on the DT but on a tablet it would be really handy. Tks

Son of a ..... !!!! I installed ALL my ORBX sceneries It was going like clockwork. They were added in by themselves as they should. I then went to add the VectorBase. BOOM!!!!!! Wiped out all my other sceneries. I would have had to have added them all back in manually. So ..... I trashed it all AGAIN, and I am going to install the Vector Base, Vector AND Pilots Mesh. THEN I am going to add in the ORBX sceneries. If that still doesn't work, I am buying a sailboat. BP

Don, with your present luck I'll suggest you get a very sturdy paddle with that boat! BTW have you tried a new download of the Vector v1.2? You just might have a wonky copy your working with. (you are using v1.2 right?)

I have VectorBase130 and Vector120. BTW - it didn't work. These are fresh downloads. I am going to put the Fat Sceneries back in and the Pilot Mesh and forget the rest. I don't want to spend any more time on it. Why it worked perfectly for 6 months I have no damned idea. I REFUSE to reformat the drive. I will quit simming first. I'll give this all a try tonight, except for the Vector stuff, and I'll see what that does.

This is truly bizarre!! Do your wife and son have computers? Maybe reformat their hard drives instead. Yeah, nuts, but tell me this problem isn't totally screwy!! This is really, really weird.

This time I have loaded out EVERYTHING at once without checking if it was there or not. When I go to start FSX, it will have to load out ALL the things I just loaded there (around 46gig) Should be fun! LOL!

Don, sorry but there is no such thing as VECTOR Base 130. I think you mean Global Base v1.3. VECTOR v1.2 is he most recent version. Now that being said I want to remind everyone that concerning VECTOR v1.2 there was a FU by ORBX when it was first released. What happened was that VECTOR v1.0 was released, followed by updates to VECTOR 1.1 and then VECTOR 1.5. After that a VECTOR 1.2 was released which you HAD to have v1.1 updated to v1.15 installed BEFORE you installed the v1.2. Worked fine that way. This, I think happened in Dec. 2014. Then in their infinite wisdom a few day later they put the VECTOR 1.2 into the Flightsim Store but it wasn't complete and to make it work you had to add the v1.15 update to it. Consequently they have, I'm pretty sure changed the V1.2 at the FSS so it didn't need that patch any longer. In fact both the 1.1 and 1.5 patches are no longer available. This button, button who has the button approach has continued to cause problems for folks who had not updated along the way from v1.0. If you have a copy of VECTOR 1.2 that is rather old I would suggest that you re-download a fresh v1.2 from your account. DELETE the old ORBX FTX_VECTOR folder from your FSX/ORBX folder and then run the installer to re-install VECTOR. Of course if ORBX installers are NOT placing the FTX files into your Scenery Library there are other problems involved I'm afraid.

Ummm, who's on first???
Man, what a mess. I remember bits and pieces of that, but had forgotten most of it. God forbid I should ever need to reinstall.

Of course if ORBX installers are NOT placing the FTX files into your Scenery Library there are other problems involved I'm afraid. Yes, but what might they be? Both Don and myself have posted about this problem on the FTX forums and to date there has been little or no valuable response. What's a poor boy do do?
