Not sure what is going on. People are signing up for the forum, I am accepting their membership, and they never come back. (and they don't even know Glenn!!) I know the mail option works properly. Folks, if you sign up, check back within 24 hours after you sign up. It usually takes within 12 hours to be accepted. I delete none-active members, especially those who do not return within 24 hours. This is a small but active community unlike any other out there.

If I can put my 2 ยข in here. I'm from Calgary, love the mountains and flying when I can (hence I like the Carenado stuff, sorry!)

Free downloads? Maybe, the 185 thing looked VERY interesting to read. However, here's my view. Understanding the pro board system is daunting, I've been a member before for Timberwolf (TWF007!)and something midnight? I'm not sure that's still active, I seem to have 3 user names now! So I have had many exasperating moments of trying to get back in. Once I write this and post, I sure hope I can. I think I've recovered my password about 5x.
Bushpounder; got the e-mail after sending a note in to join. This was probably Monday evening, kids, work,life, wife, (not necessarily in that order) made me have to "ignore the e-mail for a few days. Reading the "kill the inactive requests" made me realize that may be part of the issue.
So, I'm here, hope to learn, probably won't have much to add....yet. I read and learn mostly, add where I think I can invaluably and confidently.

Well, I just accepted two more people. I am going to let them not post or visit until the weekend. After that, Bye, Bye, Baby! LOL! That certainly is plenty of time. I agree Gord, 24 hours may be too soon. I just don't want 100s or 1000s of people who don't even come here in a membership folder. I see sites with 12000 members. I'll bet 1/10 of those people even attend the site, and 50% even participate. I want 100% participation and no hangers on. That is what makes the site come alive. If all the members do is lurk, they need not join.

I see visits by new members but rarely posts. Gord was the only one in a long while. I guess people just join to join. Strange.
