I saw pictures over at SimOuthouse. It was a hidge-podge of city pieces put together and a road overlay placed of it. Roads going through houses and trees. It looked pretty bad. Other places were just wrong - textures way out of place. I'm wondering how well this was really beta'd.

Great business model; get the beta testers to pay for the privilege!

Yup. Well this isn't exactly new for Car... err, Orbx, now, is it . I also just saw the update procedure for the PMDG 777. Part of that (hour-long) process involves uninstalling most, if not all of your liveries from it. AND from the 737 as well because they are no longer compatible with the new files, or something like that. This hobby used to be a hoot. Now it's a holler.

Flew just in the Edinburgh area since that was my big grievance with FTXSCO. The textures are noticeably different - better color, trees etc. The North Sea unfortunately looks a bit exotic (too blue) . Not sure if I'm doing right but using FTXGlobal in 'hybrid' mode - appears to override FTXSCO and is the better for it. Until the new updated Vector comes, looks like we're stuck with all the wandering roadways and dry stream beds. Easy for me to say but, if they could only have all their ducks in a row and come out with a complete (GlobalVectorLandclass), error free (mostly) version, wouldn't we all be pleased.
