For all you Carenado fans-----they have come out with a new version of the Cessna Skymaster- a V2,HD.. No thanks,; I'll sit this one out.  Carm. |

I got it this morning. It seems fine. The same as the original as far as I can tell with some minor fixes, but has a P3D v3 installer, plus adds Flight 1 GTN integration. Those two items were important for me, so I took the plunge  . -Scott |

Got a link to Carenado site. I can't find any update only the purchase page for the C337.

Did you log into your account Spud? If you purchased directly from Carenado, you can re-download it and it will be version 2. I think the serial number will be changed also, which should also show up in your account. I uninstalled the old version first, then put on v2. Seems to work okay . =Scott |

Got my update link from the vendor. The nav and butt light are blocks and I swear the door is a different shade. They will update on the next release...wow, I'm a patient guy but that's incredibly poor QA.

I sure I bought the 337 from Carenado but the only thing listed on their site when I sign in is the C-185. Guess I'll pass on this one anyway.

Spud, mebbe you bought it from another vendor. If you can remember which one, they should have the update.

Yeah, usually the third-party vendors get the update too. It might take a little longer depending on the vendor. I updated my PC-12 to v2 recently via PC Aviator.

once again your insight has provided me with the updated C-337. It wasn't the FSS but hunting through old saved E-mails on purchases led me to Aerosoft. Got the A/C from them and v2 was in the download section.
I'd give you my first born but he passed away last Aug.!

So out of curiosity over this push me- pull you, I bought the old FSD model. Half the price of the Carenado model.

Though the idea of eliminating asymmetrical thrust in the event of engine failure was excellent, it restricted your multi-engine (if that was your check ride plane) rating to just that type/model aircraft.

When I contacted FSD they told me it was all my fault ... and then released a fix about three months later. That did it for me, I have never bought another thing from them. |
