Flying (assume I'm in a plane) over the road to Breuil-Cervinia at the base of the mountain.  The town, a world class ski area in winter and the mountain.  And the mountain - Switzerland on the other side. FS Global mesh.  |

Just wondering if this is the scenery from Simviation or Fly Away. FSX default/global is permanent snow covered.

Well spotted - both of you. One of the Frank Dainese sceneries was lurking near the bottom of my addons. Too bad the LCEU scenery doesn't provide for the mountain as it actually is in the summer - mostly clear of snow.

Anybody tried the Real Earth X/FSAddon Cervino version or any of their other alpine sceneries? They apparently have seasons and day/night textures. I know they're on my wish list.

The one shown above is named 'Cervino ID' and is listed on the RealEarth site as freeware. Haven't tried it for seasons or lights. |

Interesting that the freeware is apparently LOD 14 while the payware is only LOD 13, but with autogen.
