The usefulness of good backups

After my recent install of the GTN 750 and some other mucking about, my FSX install suddenly seemed to become very unstable. It would crash at the end of every flight, and today it was crashing on loading. Fortunately I do a weekly backup of my system with Acronis True Image. I figured instead of poking around forever, I'd just restore to a good backup.  Now it's back and stable. I'll have to try the GTN again and see if it goes better . It does pay to have good backups

I've heard pretty good things about Acronis. How do you like 'em and what does it cost?

BTW, if you need an updated database for the GTN you can PM me. Probably the best ad-on I've bought for FS to date, IMO.

Ain't it the truth?  I use True Image as well.  Easy to use and not too, too, expensive.  www.acronis.com/en-us/personal/computer-backup/
