Well folks, there comes a time when you just have to let go of the past. I've tried many times to "revive" Air Caribou, but I think it's time is done. I've (virtually) closed it down and sold the assets to it, including the camps.
Some time back, I started an AA ops called North Country AirMed Group. I've really like the options it allows me. AA work can take you to many different places, and allows me to have an ops that (at least virtually) does something good for the world. NCAMG not only provides air ambulance service, but also specializes in high priority medical cargo, particularly to more remote regions. Additionally, we have aircraft dedicated to charters for the medical community (doctors, nurses, hospital execs, etc.). This will make it easier to get to conferences, seminars, etc., but can also be used for vacation trips. Aircraft in that fleet are the Lear, MU2 and Turbine Duke. The Piper Navajo and Aztec will also serve this function and do some flying doctor work in the far north down the road. Operations will be in Canada and Norway at this point, although we are looking at expanding to the UK and maybe Germany down the way. Actually, part of what sparked this move now is we finally have some high quality AA type aircraft in FSX. Those are primarily the Lear 35 and the Mitsubushi MU2, which are used a lot in actual AA operations. On the cargo side, we have the Lear again, plus the 441 and Navajo. And so, as my Avatar now reflects, my ops is "officially" (virtually, at least ) "North Country AirMed Group" which includes North Country Air Ambulance, North Country Air Charters (Med only), and North Country AirMed Cargo.
