From the Avsim forum just now: Uh huh. I regard having a P3D installer as being a far, far more significant upgrade than anything frivolous, such as working avionics, working sound packages, better engine dynamics, etc. Those I can live without, but going to the extreme lengths of making a P3D installer is far, far more than I could ever have hoped for from those lazy bast... err, fine gentlemen at Carenado. Sarcasm? ME? Naaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Never PS - thanks for nothing Carenado. Actually, they did go a LITTLE further than that: New Version (2.0) - 3D knob technology improved. - Lighting effects improved. - Marker mute fixed. - Artificial horizon alignment improved. - Flight planning bugs fixed. - Transponder modes implemented. - G1000 now starts in GPS mode and follows it with no need to reset it. - P3Dv3 and Steam installation options. - G1000 minor bug fixes. - 2D autopilot (From their FB site for the CT206) Really, that has the sound problem too, but no word on that. "Minor bug fixes" on the G1000? How about making it functional?? Anyway, I'm still underwhelmed.

Why, Glenn, how can you be so disrespectful? Just look at the list of improvements. For example; "3D knob technology improved" (They have figured out which way the switches work) "Artificial horizon alignment improved" (Now you know when you're on the level) "Transponder modes implemented" (Things go beep when the should) Surely this is a giant step forward?

I was hoping we would see some GTN integration with the older releases, but that doesn't look like it's going to be the case.
