Guys, I am not sure if this can be deleted, but I thought I'd ask. I think at one time I knew the answer, but with this CRS I have, I don't know! When I taxi at an airport where there is snow on the ground, little "mothballs" come bouncing off of the tires and white "dust" trails from the wheels. I can see the dust if I was in dirt during the summer, but not on a hardened taxiway anytime. I blocked the EFFECTS in the CFG, but that didn't do anything. I cannot remember if this is in the model or not. Thanks for any help.

Go to FSX>Effects and look for fx_WheelSnowSpray.fx, fx_WheelWetSpray.fx and fx_SnowEngineWash.fx Back them up and then delete them or just rename them "bak" or something. That should do it.

That's it! Thanks, Fritz!! BP;) My pleasure. I forgot to say, that if want the "dust" effect without the weird lumps for the dirt strips you can edit fx_tchdrt.fx. Open the file with Notepad or any text editor. The lumps are defined by the "0" sections: Emitter.0, Particle.0 and ParticleAttributes.0. If you delete those three and renumber the remaining sections from .1 and .2 to .0 and .1 you can have the wheel dust without the lumps. The fx_WheelSnowSpray.fx can also be edited exactly the same way to remove the "snowballs".
