D'Andre' over at ADX left a cryptic post, in the comments of which he finally tossed out this link to a JV post on the Orbx forums (must be logged in to see the whole thread.)

For those not able to log into Orbx, here is the text of JV's post:
For what it's worth, without knowing the other side, this seems perfectly reasonable. But... this is JV, and 'perfectly reasonable' is not always a direct association.
So my curiosity factor is up. Which German simulation review sites were receiving review copies of Orbx gear, and are no longer receiving any review material from Orbx?

I am going to post just once on this and then there will be no more discussion about it on our forums.
We did not ban certain German sites access to Orbx products to review at all. If that is the impression being given, it's misinformation. Rather, it was their insistence that it was their right to receive perpetual updates to products they reviewed sometimes one or two years ago that bothered us, since it began to appear their primary motive was to maintain their personal collection of all Orbx products.
We offered to continue to provide new Orbx products, including updated FTX regions for P3Dv3 if new airports required them. Sadly this was met with much dismay from the editors and instead of continuing to liaise with us in a business-like manner they published an 'open letter' to me on five websites. To make matters worse, they then made public my private reply to them and set about doing a rather vicious character assassinations on me personally on various forums, Facebook and blogs.
The result was inevitable: since they chose this very public and very hostile approach to liaising with Orbx, their supply of free Orbx products for review purposes (read: *review* purposes) has now been discontinued. Orbx management made this decision with the full support of our developers who also feel that this behaviour was out of character for some of these long-standing editors, and most importantly, disrespectful to Orbx as a publisher.
Since then we have welcomed a new German review site to provide reviews and I am sure our most trusted media partners such as PC-PILOT, AirDailyX, Mutley's Hangar to name a few, will continue to provide previews and reviews in their professional manner.
Ultimately we run a business, and we look after our customers first and foremost. We simply want to continue to innovate to as many compatible sim platforms as possible and release the best quality addons you have all become accustomed to.
We won't let media politics and grandstanding tarnish the valued customer relationship we enjoy with all of you.
For our German friends, we have FTX Germany North in full production, led by Sascha Normann and Holger Sandmann, and some quality airports planned for your country. I will be sure to seek out quality German translations of the user guides and other information which will help your buying decisions.
That's my final word on this matter.
