Greetings. Here is the story of my adventures in purchasing a MilViz product. The first time I've purchased something from them...
So. I generally prefer the low wing monoplanes with the spinny thing up front. Commanche. Cherokee. Bonanza. Those kind of rides.
But ever since I was a kid and saw a long nosed beast with bent wings roar over me leaving a smelly trail of exhaust fumes, I always knew I'd have to fly one one day. But this beast has no spinny thing up front, it's spinny things are buried deep within it's fuselage, and emit thunderous noise.
It's been said the F4 Phantom II (aka the "Rhino") is a fine example of how excess power can be used to make anything fly. Or something more elquently stated than that, but meaning the same thing. In any case, I finally got my chance... at 35% off.
But this is the last MilViz ship I'll buy. I used up all three (that's it, only three <Strike one>) of my product downloads because my anti-virus software was working. And even though every other producer of aircraft products for FSX/P3D can seem to distribute their product without setting off a/v alarms, MilViz hasn't yet figured out how to accomplish that. Strike two.
But I got my Rhino working... and made about a dozen back-ups of the installation file, since I'll never again be able to download it from MilViz without a full re-purchase. ((rant mode barely avoided)) ...
Strike three was that some simple nav functions in the cockpit have eluded my attempts to render them operational. Okay, the Rhino is a complex bird, so I probably didn't do something right. But when I set the mode at "ready to fly" I expect it to be ready to fly. (okay, so maybe it's more correctly strike one for me being a dumb ass, but I just spent three hours reading stuff, come on!)
But... I got the beast up and back down again. And oh my... WHAT A BLAST!
See the screenshots room for a few pics.
