After a long stint on the work crew getting our camps up to snuff and checking out airports in the NW Ontario area, Air Caribou is finally open for business in the north of Ontario (again ). We have our camps at Bearskin Lake open once again with four outposts, plus other camps we serve in the region. Today was the opening of the fall hunt (moose & bear mostly) and so with our new B1900 (well, used, but new to us, and on wet lease until we see how we make out with it), I flew our first set of guests in early this morning. Some will be proceeding to the Severn River Lodge up on Hudson Bay later today via Twin Otter. Some others will be heading out to the outpost camps shortly. Anyway, some shots of our trip to Bearskin from our new base at Pickle Lake. Oh, incidentally we'll be having our main hubs now at Pickle Lake and Red Lake, with a small hub at Island and Big Trout Lakes. We do hope to be running a sched service starting soon through the north using B1900 and a PC 12, plus a Twin Otter for the local, more northern flights. Right, onward and upward At the terminal in Pickle Lake On the roll at Pickle Lake Climbing out FL200 about halfway along On the ramp at Bearskin
