It is for sure. He is coming home Sunday. I'll have to slip down next week and see the lad. Cheers, Carm.

This is Marion---Glenn doing fine. He was up and walking and doing stairs with the physio this morning. He won't be able to lift more than 5 pounds for a month or so---he has requested if any of you know where to buy ultra light spandex??? Not pink as it clashes with his hair! He has really nice nurses so maybe that spandex would be better used by someone else (want to keep the nurses nice and the image of Glenn in spandex is rather unsettling to his sister). Finally got him a tv hook up last night so if the Blue Jays lose tonight blame him...I offered to give him his needles today but the nursing staff wouldn't let me and Glenn was grateful about that. All being ok he will be home Sunday so you might here from him by mid week. I'll let you know if any changes.

Thank you, Marion. It was very nice talking with you the other night. Glad to hear the patient is doing well. Maybe if you slipped the nurse a 20 she would let you give him the needles. We'll all chip in. Don

Thanks much, Marion. Tell Glenn not to worry; we'll sort out the Spandex for him.

Late to the party, but I do wish Glenn a speedy and successful recovery. And many thanks to Marion for the updates, it's good to hear them from those closest to the patient.
And ... spandex?? NOOoooooooooo.....

Hi Folks, Marion here. Saw Glenn today. He has had a bit of a setback. He was considerably stiffer and much more sore. His white blood cell count is a bit high and his incision was seeping this morning much more than is considered normal. The surgeon saw him today and said even with all that he should still be able to go home in the morning...which I will find out when I go there tomorrow. I get the pleasure of changing his bandages so I will get my instructions from the nurse tomorrow. I did ask her if they have any really big ones which could encompass his mouth too but alas that is not to be. If he doesn't make it home tomorrow I'll let you know. With any luck he will be posting by mid week.I did take him a print out of this board so he could see all of your comments and best wishes (?) ...it gave him a much needed chuckle

We have a lot of tormenting to do so he better heal up and get his ass home. When I first read that (without my reading glasses) I thought it said really nice purses. I thought that would explain his concern over conflicting colors with the spandex. Keeps us posted Marion, call any time.

Thank you, Marion. Well that is still good news. Sorry about the smaller-than-needed bandages. Perhaps two together? Just a thought! Send him my best. I am glad that you and him have a relationship where you can take care of him AND still bust his bal .... well, you know! Take care and I'll be watching the forum tomorrow. Thanks again! Don or BP;) or whoever the hell I am!

Thanks, Marion. Let him get home before you tell him that we're going to redecorate his room for him here at The Home. He might take it wrong.

Hi folks, it's Marion---Thanks for all your best (?) wishes for my brother. He has had a small setback and it was decided that he needed the nurses tender care for at least one more, night possibly 2. The nurses have my sympathies . He maybe doesn't trust his home care to such a loving sister who will be holding all the power for once (imagine evil laugh!!). He is my oldest brother and I have endured countless years of being the youngest. Anyway, I will post again when we know for sure he is home.
