Yeah, like all of you I got the email about an update. I figured I might try it this weekend if I had the time. Glad I read all this first! Seems like it would have been easy to just email customers who purchased the avionics update...

My version of the 310R is the last beta version before it went on sale - a freebie so I'm not on the mailing list.

Well, just checked the old Milviz download folder and all the old s**t is back now including the original C310 download. I don't have a clue if the download counter was reset but I'm not accessing it again and have it count down if it is re-incremented. Not sure why they are back but glad they are. Of course WIN10, file manipulation and I are complete strangers at this point, could be just a fumbling fickel finger of fate invloved.

Got an e-mail from Milviz today offering to set me up on their forums.? No info on the problem that no longer exists. (not sure about the download count though). Here is the text:
Good evening, Unfortunately I am not a programmer so I am unable to offer you technical assistance myself. However I would be more than happy to get a forum account created for you. I just need you to provide me with the forum username that you would like to use, and then I will create your account. Then I will send you a confirmation email with a temporary password so that you can log in. We thank you for your purchases, and apologize to hear you are having issues with the product. Regards, Steve

Well, against my superior intellect (yeah, right!), I did end up purchasing the Avionics Upgrade ($9.99 USD) for the 310. I am having a problem with the electrical panel visuals though and initially with the GTN 750 itself, although that may have been resolved after one use. But yeah, I have started the process you describe Spud, of signing up for the forum. Buying this was a gamble since you can't see what problems people are having with this upgrade, and normally I just write these off right away if I can't read the forums. However, I really like the 310 (IRL) so I opted for this one. I'll let you know how it goes, if it matters.

Well, very good suprise in my e-mail this morning. Milviz resent the email about the update for the C310R and that reset my 3 free downloads on their site. Of course I imagine that it will be valid for a limited amount of time as the previous update links didn't stay active forever.

Good stuff. My install went fine and it seems to work without any problems, so I'm good to go insofar as the GTN in the 310.
