Just for giggles are you running Pilots VECTOR? Are the towers you see power line transmission towers? If so are try this: go to the VECTOR Configuration tool and open the 'Various Features' tab. Uncheck the 'Power Lines' box. It will turn off ALL transmission towers world wide so its not a good solution but if it does eliminate the towers the problem is caused by VECTOR and that may be why you can't obliterate them.

I will bet that is what it is, Spud. Yes, I do run Vector. Thanks for that. Still, I wonder why I cannot remove the three, unless they are ALL bundled together as one.Thanks again!

Why don't you report this to Pilot's on the VECTOR Support forum at ORBX? There is already a post about another airport in Switzerland with the same problem (but different(LOL)) Perhaps they will come up with an update in later versions of VECTOR as I see it as an error in their coding apparently.
