Yeah, at high speeds, I'm guessing you can get fooled in the first glance. Either way, I wouldn't want to take one of these things on.

OK, a few more (and probably the last for this one): This guy landed on an RV (will try to post that later) that was going down the runway. Pretty neat. His aircraft is a Cub and is called "Jelly Belly" These guys can really fly! The Snowbirds team. Uhhhhhh..... "Which way you goin'??" "I'm going that-a-way. Which way you goin'?" "I'm goin' the other way. Damn, never a traffic cop when you need one!" Up close and personal Uhhhh..... (SEE??!!! I wasn't crazy when I was flying IRL after all!! This IS the way you're supposed to do an approach. Sheesh).

That 18 looks so nice. I am going to hunt down similar decals. I forgot - CAF 18s also have a spotlight on the port side. I'll have to make sure my kits have them. Thos Snowbirds look great too. I have never seen them live, but they must be spectacular, eh? BP;)

Although I much prefer the F-16 as a 'modern' fighter, I must say that's a tasty scheme. I have the Leading Edge decal set for the CAF 410 'Cougar' Squadron 60th Anniversary scheme which is basically red and gray but does have a lovely Mossie on one of the fins. It'll (eventually) end up on my Hasegawa kit (which does have the spotlight) unless this scheme comes out. I like the blue better.

OK, last ones. Somebody mentioned about the tail gunner's position in the B17. Here's what they had to look forward to on a flight. Man, talk about a sitting duck. That bloke is a dummy (in more ways than one, if "he" volunteered!). Scared the crap out of me when I walked by him. Now this guy in the Cub ("Jelly Belly") seemed a bit confused about which way to go: He was probably just looking for the outhouse. Anyway, he seemed to find "a hole": (reminded me of my days in the bush, only he was doing this on purpose!) Lastly, he seemed to have trouble finding the runway, so he "dropped in" on some friends in a RV. I think he was "unannounced"... Yes, he flew just above the RV then landed on it. Then he took off again. Talk about precision flying! Alrighty, that's it for these. Hope you enjoyed them. I'll leave these up for a few days then they come down. Later... .
