Getting ready for the airshow at CYKF this weekend (sorry about the size Don - I'll remove this tomorrow evening). Picture quality sucks but I was shooting from a long distance at a high ISO, and this is a hugely cropped image.  |

You can leave it. It looks GREAT!! I love the CAF paint schemes. I have a few to build here.

That really is an impressive paint scheme. Be rather difficult to duplicate in 1/48th scale, but it would be a show winner for sure.
((as i stare at a closet full of un-built scale aircraft kits))

There is a company (Leading Edge) that makes some beautiful CAF decals in 1/48 (my scale).

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll stick floats on it and use it for my contest entry  ? Or, maybe I'll just re-do one similar to what I had up earlier  . Anyway, this is a commemorative paint scheme for the CF-18 but I forget exactly what. I can find out tonight. Anyway, should be a bunch more shots today (hopefully MUCH better than that one as I have all my gear with me today) which I'll stick up over the next day or two. None of these are going to be all that spectacular by themselves, but once I get started on my composites, hopefully they will really start to pop (that's "pop", not "poop"  ). Now I was at a fly-in a couple of weeks back where I had access to the runway which was fun. One cool airplane that landed there was a Tiger Moth. I did a little "post-processing" work with it and came up with a "vintage photograph" to go with the "vintage airplane". Hope you like, and again size is a problem so I won't leave this up too long either.  |
