Seems we had no sooner taken delivery of our AN-2 when the calls started pouring in for cargo runs. It's a busy time of year in these here parts and nothing that can haul sits around for long. We didn't even have time to put a fresh coat of paint on our new acquisition before it was called to duty. We were full to the gills with equipment for the hunting and fishing camps. We were hustling to get her loaded in time since we weren't too interested in running the beasts first revenue flight at dusk. Luckily the long days mitigated that threat. We ran up the valley from Haines to Haines Junction passing over Mule Creek on the way. Gusty winds in Haines Junction that died down prior to our arrival. Otherwise darn near perfect weather.
