I wonder if they have anyone there who has actually flown a STOL airplane? Not saying they don't, but the Beaver, and even more so the Otter fly very differently to most other planes. Hope they capture that feeling, but I have my doubts at this point.

Maybe they can get some real world flyers from the Carenado FB page. I was told they have an over abundance of people with real world experience there. They are looking for some now for the French 409 or whatever it is they are modifying now. With 80+ planes in the world, I am sure there are at least 25 pilots there who flew that. LMAO!!!! I hate being lied to. But that's a whole 'nother story!

Appears that Milviz has hired Rob Young of RealAir to do the FDE's for their Beaver.

Appears that Milviz has hired Rob Young of RealAir to do the FDE's for their Beaver. Interesting; and if anyone can pull it off, he can. But unless he's actually flown in (or better, flown) a Beaver, it's still going to be interesting to see what they come up with. Not saying he/they can't, but the Beaver (and even more, the Otter) have very unique characteristics that really set them apart. Without those, it won't be very representative of the real thing. I'd LOVE it though if they got it right. |
