Looks like a sale is going on right now, many ORBX regions and airports are on sale at the moment. There's some pretty good deals there, I might pick up some more airports .

Some good buys to be had, but unfortunately (for P3D2 users) very few of the sale items are compatible with P3D2. Some are, like Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, etc. But the vast majority of the airports on sale are not compatible.

Picked up Jackson, WY - 4.1 GB, yikes. The installer offered the choice of FSX or P3D.

Seems that whatever Lockheed-Martin did to the code when the released P3D2 has created a significant problem for Orbx. I wonder why? They have supported P3D almost right from the start and even said that they think that the future lies with P3D. Then P3D 2 is released and now they're saying that it will be quite some time before things get sorted out. So what do youse guys think? Surely we can create a conspiracy theory that involves shadowy characters, suspicious flights over fences and conversations that none will ever hear. Then we could accuse them of ridiculous things. That could be fun. It has to be annoying for all the folks that went for P3D and I do think that Orbx will try to make things compatible with P3D2 eventually but I really have to wonder what's going on...

Orbx is slowly converting all their stuff to be P3D2 compliant. It's been a long haul, but all the main scenery areas (except for the two New Zealand areas) are now compliant. There are a couple airports compliant, with more coming along and most (all?) new airports will be 'triple installer' versions to be P3D2 compliant as well. The really good news is that I (and other P3D2 users) have not had to purchase any of our scenery add-ons again. Merely be patient and wait for the updates from Orbx. I cannot fault them for this approach at all, when they could easily have made each one an upgrade that requires a fee to activate.

I regularly visit that forum thread. Orbx has released the updated Bonner's Ferry (65S) scenery this evening. That airport is a favorite of mine for some reason. Nothing too spectacular about it, but it just feels right. I enjoyed flying out of there under FSX, and I'm looking forward to doing so in P3D2.
