The v2 Central is only active when you run the program and shuts down when you click the X it gets its information about your ORBX installation from the ORBX/Scripts folder I believe. When you add more scenery it adds info so Central can update the display letting you know that the scenery is installed. Unless you click on the show more products button on the bottom of the screen it only shows the various regions you have installed and the various airports in the selected region you already have installed and if some of those airports have a configuration control panel you can run it from Central just like v1.
All in all it is a pretty neat program and I can live with the banner showing the latest software to buy, I have total control over opening my wallet so I just ignore the bugger!
