Well, Andre, from all this I expect you have learned something Carm. He probably has; criticism is safer than praise when it comes to FSX addons. Hehe...... Good one. I'll stop telling you what I like and just be normal (critical, cynical and grumpy) on the Swift, I dont like the outside textures so much. They are to shiny.... Are you happy now, am I accepted?

I agree, Crash. I don't need to buy/try something when I read it has problems. Consumer Reports has been doing that for years. I am glad that Andre likes his plane. I am always happy when someone is happy with anything they do. I have bought planes that others think are pure crap. In some ways they are correct, but they make great screenshots! LOL! Screw it, it's a hobby. Cheaper than drinking and hookers! (sort of!) BP;) Me not agree. If you want, you can always find someone disliking some addon on the community. Besides its a sword with two edges: 1)Because someone likes an adoon, you may not like it 2) if someone doesnt like an addon it may be the best you´ve ever had. There are no rules. Just a lot of internet babble. I find that devellopers that make a demo of their addon deserves a lot of extra attention, so, those of you writing about the swift without having tried it. Stop writing! When you have tried it, it will be worth listening to what you have to say. untill then, just internet babble. Finally, I´m glad that the original poster continued using the AC. His little rudder fix, really changes a lot. And I´m glad that he changed his mind about the AC. I have fs2004 and p3d installed , so I can compare the Bill Lyons Swift in fs2004 (the one that everyone finds to be fantastic) and the AH swift in P3D. IMHO, the new one is clearly the winner, but it needs a patch and a few tweaks. And finally, this with Carenado and Alabeo prices is far out. You may like their products, thats personal, but besides their AC, there´s hardly anything with the package, no manual, nothing. BUT, its our own fault, when we accept that A2A charke 50 bucks, Pmdg, 60 - 70 or more, than the others will follow up. Thats the way things work Fortunately, two of my best payware AC addons have cost me 15 and 19,-$ respectively. (The Sibwings Antonov and AH Swift)

"1)Because someone likes an adoon, you may not like it"
If someone says they don't like something and nothing more, you have a point. If someone says the ADF doesn't work, the GS doesn't work, the HSI doesn't work, then they are listing hard facts (assuming others have backed up those same bugs). If I wanted to sell you a car, and everyone was telling you the transmission was broken, are you still going to buy it (if you say "yes", boy do I have a deal for you!)?
"so, those of you writing about the swift without having tried it. Stop writing! When you have tried it, it will be worth listening to what you have to say. untill then, just internet babble."
I'll be damned if you are going to tell me what, where or when I can or cannot write on a forum! That is for the moderator to decide. You do NOT get to censor my rights to post any more than I get the right to tell you what you can or cannot write. That's Don's prerogative, and Don's alone. Got it?
I also don't appreciate the insult that all I (and since you didn't address me only, anyone else here that falls into the category of not having bought the Swift) spew is "internet babble". Contrary to what you seem to think, we aren't (those of us who are capable of forming an opinion without having to stick our hands on a hot burner to determine if we'll get burned) all stupid here. My last comment.

Hey Bushpilot, come down on earth. Nothing was personal from my side ok. You are the one being personal now, so please back off. I have (at least untill your last port) nothing against you (or anyone else).
With the ideas that someone has about perfection, my only advice: Dont buy anything!! The whole internet is full of babble. Not just on FS forums. And believe me, this forum is one of the places that I have visited which I respect the most because you guys seem like pretty educated and relaxed.
And finally, when you write this, which is strictly personal and negative against my person and trying to make me the bad boy, you really should think twice before writing: " Contrary to what you seem to think, we aren't (those of us who are capable of forming an opinion without having to stick our hands on a hot burner to determine if we'll get burned) all stupid here. My last comment."
Its ok to get pissed of, but its grown up to accept that when hotheaded you sometimes write things you shouldnt and then on forums, you edit your post, so that its less personal and negative. So if you want me to continue respecting you, do something.

Let's say we all walk away from this and just agree to disagree on it. OK?
BP;)

As just remarked in the Swift's latest updates thread, my only beef with it so far has been the strange aileron action I noticed. But since nobody else commented on it, I assume it's just something on my end that's a bit out of sorts. I've only flown it an hour or so, not really enough time to push all the buttons and wiggle all the things. Rudder seemed to work okay for me. Ground control was a bit touchy with rudder control, but differential braking and gentle rudder input work just fine.
Also, I have yet to get a single email about an update. Purchased from FSPilotShop, on the 15th. So maybe I already got the 1.1 version. Haven't seen anything in my inbox regarding 1.2. I did see the comments on FaceBook announcing the update however.

Update, as posted elsewhere: FSPilotShop has the latest version 1.2, but the filename is exactly the same and is a complete replacement for the original.
