Well, I'm back home-- CPN4. We were heading for Kitchener this morning. All went well until about 10 minutes into the flight when we lost the generator---no radios, autopilot, no Amps on the guage. Strangely enough, we still had strobes and clearance lights. We turned around and came home. What ever went wrong was weird as we had no problems lowering the gear or flaps. We then started to get our radio as we could call and receive control. What ever the snag is has grounded the bird, it is in the Maint hanger as we speak. All in all I'm not too impressed, more disappointed than anything. I'm beginning to wonder about this bird. Carm.

Strange behaviour. Before making to many conclusions, contact aeroplane heaven and tell them what has happened. Maybe there´s a reason or maybe there´s something that needs to be fixed. They have said clearly that they want response and that, if necessary, they will make patches. So take it easy.
I have had the Swift in the air for around 3-4 hours now and without any problems at all. On the contrary, everything works very well and i really like it and find it to be one of the best payware AC pr $ that I have in my hangar. But then I´m also biased. Its the kind of AC that I realy like and the Chipmunk which was made by the same guys were my favorite little GA untill this one, clearly beating my A2A C172 and more or less on par with the A2A Cherokee. Time will show which one will be used the most. I have mostly been around PNW, around in the rolling hills in Oregon and south Washington. There´s a lot of difficult little airfields to land on and I like that the Swift is kind of difficult without being to difficult.

The next time you are up Andre, turn on lights, pitot heat etc and see if you are getting a reading on the Amp guage,. Tune an ILS and see if your ILS guage on the Rt side of the Inst panel operates, I don't know if the original A/C had a Cylinder temp guage, but this A/C doesn't seem to have one---just oil. Let me know what you find please. Thanks. Carm.

Hi Carm. You´re right, the ILS gauge seems dead. When tuning an ILS, I get a directional reading from the nav/adf gauge bit thats it. Could it have something to do with 1 nav radio and 2 nav gauges?
Have you tested the ADF. So far, I get no readings.
I have contacted AH, so lets see what they say.
