Probably a good idea, Carm. Current weather Parry Sound: -9°C and cloudy vs Nassau, The Bahamas: 24°C and light rain.
Here on the wet coast 5°C and cloudy (no rain).

There is still ' frost on the pumpkin' this morning Mike, -22, chill factor=-31. tonights forecast is -28 chill factor=-40. Either in "C" or "F" that's damn cold.  Carm.

Sounds too cold to me! We're sitting at 7°C with overcast and scattered showers. It has actually been one of the warmest winters I can remember; with only a few early mornings reaching to freezing. The daytime highs the last few weeks have been 12°C to 15°C.

I used to stay in a little hotel at Bay Street and Charlotte. Real dive! LOL!

The biggest dive that I lived in was on Golden Avenue in Toronto, Ontario; less then 1/2 km from Dundas and Bloor. They did allow pets however, as long as you recognize cockroaches and mice as pets!

The one bad hovel I remember in Tronna was the Warwick hotel on Jarvis street. Its specialty was rooms by the hour.  One time in the early 50's I tried to get a room there for the night and was refused . I had to go to the old Ford hotel across from the bus depot. I got room there---I guess its standards were even lower than the Warwick  Carm |

I'll never tell---especially on the internet  . Then there was the time I come out of the old Lichee Grds restaurant way down on Bay st, late at night to see my car being towed behind a police tow truck. It seems that my buddy who loaned me the car for the weekend failed to tell me that the vehicle was just a little bit 'hot'. Toronnas Finest understood the situation ---the next day I got back to Base, just in time. Carm. |
