Actually, Seattle is way down on the list of "rainest cities in the U.S." by amount of rainfall. In fact the Pacific Northwest doesn't even get on the list until number 24 with Olympia (the capital). Now if your talking about 'number of rainy days' then Olympia again hits the list with the most (63). The rainest city by volume is Mobile, AL at 67" annually and second by number of rainy days (59). Seattle's annual average rainfall is 36.2". The study was for a 30 year period but did not include some cities in Hawaii and Alaska that recieve over 100" of rain annually. BTW: here in Pensacola we are number 2 with 65" of rain annually. Of course last summer we did have a nice little thunderstorm that dumped 27" on us in 24 hours causing some major flooding and severe damage.

Speaking of Rain. Would you believe, here in Mount Forest Ont., this morning it was, and still is, raining. I had to turn on my car's wipers when I went for my early morning coffee and bagel at Tim's. I'm sure as heck not complaining, it sure beats the hell out of the usual, snow, of which there still is plenty of. Cheers, Carm.

I am just about at the same latitude as you in New Hampshire and it's raining here also. At least it is above freezing.
