I dusted off an old favorite, and revisited the fact that I suck at sail plane flying. But it sure can be fun... Grabbing a place at random from which to start, I wound up in Innsbruck, Austria. Believe it or not, the textures you're seeing here are *payware* ... Condor is about ten years old (or more?) now, and while it's graphics were never top-shelf, they are really looking dated compared to P3D2.4 with Orbx... Getting a tow into the air: Cruising around, waiting for the timer to count down to race start: This is what I think of whenever I see the Nike 'swoosh' logo: Without a hat, you're toast. Literally! It get's really warm under direct sunlight. Fly too close to the sun, and your feathers will melt!

Gliders are fun. They will fine tune your judgement.

I've never tried the gliders in FSX. I really like how Condor has the physics about as close as it can be for a 2D representation. The graphics may be lacking a bit, but the experience of finding thermals and riding ridge lift is truly amazing. Add in the multiplayer competition aspect, and it becomes an extremely challenging simulation.

Unless you count a couple of dead stick episodes, never done any gliding.
