As suspected our next leg that afternoon was back up to Bozeman. We had some fire fighting equipment from the airport that was going in for refurbishing. That made for a light load relatively speaking, which was "nice" as it was a long, steep climb going north. Our cruising altitude was 17,000 for the short run up to Bozeman, with the RNAV approach from LVM into RWY 34 (I think) at Bozeman. Winds were light and they were calling for it to be clear at BZN, but we ended up with a light snow shower and some turbulence coming down final. Still, an uneventful flight in all. Some pics once again... Returning from lunch and a walk around the airport grounds to pick up our next flight Long runway at West Yellowstone, looking north Once again some pretty nice scenery. "Lumpy" ground in this part of the world. Wasn't long before we were on final for Bozeman through an unforecast/unreported light snowshower This airport too has some pretty nice scenery to it. In the cargo terminal looking out Looking out at the distant hills from the cargo terminal building. Nice place! Thanks for looking .

Good looking place! Is Bozeman part of the Yellowstone package? I mean, there's one more day of sale left ...

No, Yellerstone is separate. Still time though . Now, if you'll excuse me, while I'm on a roll I'm off to pick up a bunch of UK airports. Most of those are only $9 Cdn so why not ?

Hmmm, which one do you prefer? Yellowstone or Bozeman? I can't get both, now can I?

Sure you can Fritz! Just don't eat for a day (well, maybe a couple of hours with the price of groceries these days !), and you'll be fine . Actually Bozeman is has more "stuff" in it. West Yellowstone is a smaller airport with not as many buildings. That said, West Yellowstone is a popular tourist destination with beautiful surroundings. So it's really good if you're flying in there in light aircraft (not sure what your intended purpose or aircraft are). So in the end, I'd get Bozeman. Or, Yellowstone. No, Bozeman. Yellowstone. BozeStone?? Jeez... . Hope that helps (I heard that ) . Actually, if I had to get one over the other, I guess it would be Bozeman. Tough choice though!!

Well, gee, thanks bunches. Come to think on it, I get an old farts discount as well as the 33% one. Hmmmmm ... Bozeman looks to be the nicer one, for me anyway. It's got some extra strips included. However, it is plus cher than Yellowstone. Oh, woe is me!
