I have an interesting little annoyance in my FSX. When I go to Simobjects- Airplanes- CLS 747 [for example] -then open its 'aircraft' folder to look at the CFG. Instead of the CFG I get a ' ViewDownloads internet explorer' view. This annoyance applies to all the A/C. I sure can still fly my silly head off, but, makes things sticky when needing the CFG file for what ever reason. Any thoughts men ? Cheers, Carm.

Pull the other one! No, seriously, I've never heard of such a thing. Try right clicking the .cfg file and select "open". Mebbe that will help. You might also try logging off/on and see if that helps. It could be a mouse glitch.

Check your file associations. If you just got a complete reinstall at the shop of your OS (and with a new HD, you must have), the file associations may not be set. Right click on the aircraft.cfg icon and then click on Properties. See what program opens that type of file. If it's not Notepad, change it in the Properties panel to Notepad.

HOT DAMN !!! That did it Glenn. Your suggestion was the answer. Thanks. I am also happy to see more Canuck fields in the latest Orbx offering. So far---other than the snow fall , its been a good morning. Even the Tim's Dark Roast hit the spot. Fritz, your thought of a duff Mouse has its merit, as I've been suspicious of it causing problems. Maybe Santa will drop one off for me when he does a ' low over' on Xmas eve. Cheers Carm.
