For the constant admirer of the 'Norseman' - Canadian single engine freighter similar to the 'Beaver' (same round R985), this is a version that's survived four versions of XP. I call this 'Scud running in Utah'.

When I was a teenager, a family friend who flew an F5 (recce Lightning) out of England told us of how, when ww2 in Europe ended, he was way down the points list for return to the US. They assigned him a UC64 (Norseman) and he flew an Army surveyor around western Europe for about seven months.

Wow - from an F-5 to a Norseman. Not sure I would want to go down the ladder, but flying time is flying time.

Ahh, a beautiful shot of a beautiful airplane. Thanks. You know, I always thought that the Norseman had a bigger engine then the Beaver. Slap my hand.

Forced me to Google and you are correct - never had an R985. Started with a Wright engine ended with an R1340 (600 hp).
