Lockheed built several - Amelia had one. I sat in the JNU tower cab and watched this guy go twice a day, first up to ANC then, same guy, back to SEA.  |

Yeah, I remember those from when I was a kid. We used to go and see my father off on one of his many trips. He flew on those quite a bit.

I like the Electra. I flew on a PSA Electra from Lake Tahoe to LAX years ago. My grandfather got his F/E Electra rating when he was 71 years old. He said it was an electrical nightmare!

I had a Eastern Airlines flight on an Electra once and my seat was by the wing. It was the wrong place to sit due to the buzz from the engines. Shortly after that happily most airlines had switched to jets.
