She really is remarkable, isn't she? She was 11 when that was recorded and is now all of 14. I first came across her singing O Mio Babbino Caro on youTube (at 10!) when I was skimming some of the America's Got Talent winning videos a year or so back. Thanks for posting the clip. You reminded me that I actually have the album it's from! She also does a beautiful job on my favourite operatic aria Nessun Dorma, which seems to be the 'song du jour' of aspiring singers these days.

Her first appearance on 'America's got talent' was a jaw-dropper. You just knew it was lip-synched - such a beautiful, mature voice from such a little girl.

...You just knew it was lip-synched - such a beautiful, mature voice from such a little girl. Apparently some commentators did consider that but when they met again the next evening, she did an impromptu performance that proved it was all her. |
