Well, our bases are getting nicely established out west for our new contracts. Today I flew the sched charter that starts at Port Hardy and ends at Bella Coola. We have stops at Rivers Inlet, Machmell, Owikeno Lake, Taleomey River and terminating at Bella Coola. Because this is a charter, if we don't have passengers for a particular location, we don't have to land. It's a strictly VFR run which we are doing in the DHC 6-100. Our trip today had stops at Rivers, Owikeno and Bella Coola, under good VFR conditions. Our base at Bella Coola is getting nicely set up, as I noticed when taxiing past it on the way in. At Bella Coola we'll have one DHC 6-300 on wheel skis in winter and floats in summer to service Tweedsmuir Provincial Park (a very, very large park!) and another DHC 6-100 on floats to service coastal areas towards Bella Bella, Klemptu and so on. I have some pics from the trip, so I'll let them tell the story.
