Always enjoyed this one in FS9 and found it rehabbed for FSX on 'Classic Wings'. The Kiwi roundel etc were stuck on for the New Zealand forum.

It's exactly the same thing, only completely different.

Is that the Classic Wings FSX version? I didn't realize that the original winning Comet of the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race from London to Melbourne was still extant, let alone flyable. I should look so good if I reach 80! Not the prettiest bird (at least to my eyes) but she sure is impressive. Nice restoration. Here's a link to a video of her in flight, actually fimed at Old Warden this past September (on my birthday, no less). www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn_yt1mkVc0If nothing else, jump to about 3:30 and listen to her howl.

That video on the Comet is pretty nice. I do like aircraft from that era... One of my all time favorites, the Travel Air Mystery Ship, is featured in this video: youtu.be/kSK2f2Kfl4Q

...I do like aircraft from that era... One of my all time favorites, the Travel Air Mystery Ship, is featured in this video: youtu.be/kSK2f2Kfl4QI agree. That repro is exquisite, isn't she? I found the Comet link on the sidebar to that video, which I found myself on Friday. PC Aviator has all the Golden Age Simulations aircraft on sale for 50% off this weekend and the Travel Air is one of the half dozen of their products I don't have yet. Just waiting for the clock to tick midnight and I'll order it (and others). My pension normally goes into my account on the first of each month but this month it was deposited about 2 days early (a not uncommon occurrence). Unfortunately, for some reason, this time the transaction is actually dated for Dec 1 instead of the deposit date, so, just to forestall any potential problems, I'll wait until it actually is December.
