Did you buy the top shelf edition? That's probably where I am heading. I'll tell you - I read such a piss-poor review yesterday followed by the most amazing review of any sim. This is going to be a mess in the forums until it is released. We don't know if the person who wrote the bad review had an old build edition or what. I know I am not building their recommended PC, but I will see how it runs on what I have. If I can update for reasonable money, I will. Hell, the video card, depending on the version is almost 2 grand! LOL! Won't be getting that one! It will be like every other MSFS - we'll be the beta testers.  One thing I thought was interesting in one review was the selection of testers. Because this is for so many platforms, people who have never flown a plane were chosen to test, so it was not made 100% for the pilot and knowledgeable aviation enthusiasts. As time goes on and the software engines, etc are figured out, people will find tweaks and pass them along. Either way, every version always gets better, so I can't see why this one won't. BP;) |

I think I can still upgrade my OS for free. The real problem is going to be the video card. Plus a bit more RAM. Maybe one new SSD. OY!

It's beautiful ! I have a 4.2 ghz I-7 cpu, 16 gb of ram and an Rx 580 8gb gpu. Runs smooth as silk. Assigning keys and buttons is a PITA, but once you do a few it's not so bad, just different. Well worth the money. Monday I get a new modem and run a 40gb internet dsl, right now I'm at 12. I still don't see any bottleneck though. My main gripe is lack of helicopters. They are promised "soon". No third party sceneries are needed ! Needs more planes though. I love it anyway... Sue PS...You can get an Xbox Ultimate pass for $1 for the first month, and that will allow you to download and try the sim for free! All you need is a Microsnot account. It is a 95 gig download...

Third parties will be needed down the road. Examples are the dirt and grass strips. They can always use something to detail themselves out. It is truly a VFR sim from what I am seeing on line. I even saw my car parked at work. Picture Bing used is a couple years old. I guess as Bing updates things, your scenery will stay current.
