I'm aging fast, but not THAT fast!! I am watching that sim VERY carefully. It looks too good to be true. I hope it is not rushed into the can before they test it from a to z. If it's all what I am reading and seeing, it will certainly spark me back into simming again for sure. Good to see you around, Dave!

That snow puts it at least one development year ahead of XP - bring it on.

The scenery and the clouds and rain and snow all look really good to me as do the shots of the airplanes and cockpits. I hope they put as much work into the flight characteristics. Still and all, I'm looking forward to it.

If nothing else, it'll be good to have a new dead horse to flog .

If nothing else, it'll be good to have a new dead horse to flog . LOL!!!!! Exactly!!!! Looking at all the clips they have released - the aircraft design, panels, all the WX, icing!!, scenery (looks like Google earth running all the time!, 3 ways of flying it, online, offline, out of box - degrades as you move away from online flying. Still, MUCH unknown by the general public. I hope they gear up a portion for bush flying. Has sloped runways! I also either read or heard on a clip that it will somewhat backwards compatible, but not sure how far back or how that will work.

In one of the Asobo guys presentations he stated that quite a bit of the FSX structure was being utilized so some of our favorites may be granted a new life.

So I have it on good authority that MS is consulting with various third parties that provide products or services that work with MSFS. The individuals that are directly consulting with them have had to sign NDAs. So it looks like they are actually trying to work with third party providers vs just producing a product and just expecting everyone to adapt to them.

Keeps getting better. There was a sound program years ago that you could add into a scenery. You set the sound and the diameter of the area you could hear the sound in. I used it in some of my early bush sceneries about 20 years ago.

Maybe it's just me but I think the planes in '2020' are lend/lease from their various developers which says to me - we're looking for all the (developer) help we can get. XP hired J Rollon to do most of theirs and they're super for default aircraft.

Cheeez after all this Hype over Micro softs' new sim, it keeps telling me that I'm in for a new bigger better computer if I want to use that sim. From all I've seen and read, it should be a winner though. In the meantime my old FSX system keeps plugging away. Cheers, Carm.

I just upgraded my old ASUS mobo to a Gigabyte Z390 - mainly to have the LGA1151 socket but other goodies as well. My CPU/GPU are i59600k/gtx1660ti and they seem to handle XP very well. It's only money - wish I had more.
