Another nice set of snaps. How are you liking the 207?

I like it quite a bit. Never been in one, not sure I've ever even seen one in real life. But it flies like I imagine a plane of it's stature would. Stable and underpowered. Performance seems pretty close to the numbers minus a few knots for wear. Attitudes look correct in climb cruise and descent. The usual top notch graphics and I haven't found anything that doesn't work yet, although I've only done two flights in it. So far I think it'll be a keeper.

I often rode one from Kaktovik over to Deadhorse to catch a Wien jet to Anchorage. During summer the north slope is plagued with super low stratus - the visibility beneath is great just not much vertical room for maneuver. Tops were invariably at two thousand so these 207 guys would punch up on top and enjoy the sunshine. All this outfit's planes had radar altimeters so, at 'x' DME, they'd let back down so as to be in the clear prior to the control zone. First time my eyeballs were super size watching that altimeter unwind then sure enough, at almost exactly the same altitude, there was that gawdawful Alaska north slope again.

Neat. I've had similar experiences (which I won't elaborate on). Lots of fun though.
Nice pics Bob.
