Nice shots! I should reload that thing some day. Seem to remember it was a decent model.

Yeah, good pics. That is a nice plane and I haven't had it out in a while, either.

Yeah, it's not bad. Usual Carenado flaws and the night lighting isn't great, but otherwise quite good.

I've seen a slightly different version of that, but not with tundra tires. That looks more like a 336 than a 337. Interesting design. Discovery Air I think still uses them in Northern Canada, especially for bird dogging, but they serve a variety of roles I believe. Neat shot.

Now here's something I hadn't seen before:

Spiffy! I like the tundra tire version but a float type would be real nice. It might be a bit of a dog, though.

Yeah, most seaplanes are a bit doggy, but I don't think this one would be too bad that way. However, you'd go through props like nobody's business! The front prop would be ok, but that rear prop would pick up huge amounts of spray from the water coming off the floats before (and possibly even after) you got on the step. That nicks the crap out of them and you'd have to be filing them almost every flying day. Not fun. Also, only having a door on the right would make it a pain to dock under certain conditions, although probably you could get a mod that would put a door on the left hand side like they did with the Nomad (Aztec on floats). I like the Bell 47 in the background too .

Does it count for buying the beer when you beach the A/C with the water rudders down?

It's a looker on floats. Who'd a thunk it? I agree, nice Bell 47 there in the background. Hmmm, off to Flysimware to take a look.

spud - no, not on amphibs. We have a Turbo 206 on amphibs in the hangar now and the rudders are in the down position. I'd keep them up personally, but I don't think it matters much. NOW, if you were backing the aircraft onto a beach, that would be totally different . @crash - yeah, it's tempting for sure .
