New Global available via FTX Central v3. However be prepared to work for it. I spent 2 hours and 10 attempts to download the approx. 869MB file. FTX Central v3 definetly has problem that ORBX need to fix. I the Central V3. forum there are 1588 posts about problems with the 'be all, end all' ORBX way of doing it 'our way'.

Oh, boy. I'll bet the majority of those posts will be deleted soonest. Getting a bit weary with Orbx, I must say.

Uh boy. And what, I wonder, does it fix (or screw up, depending...)? I'm almost afraid to try these things now.

Good Lord!!! After reading some of the threads on this (and related) subject(s), I'm even less confident about running the update! I'm not a computer engineer or even a geek. If I had to do what some of those people are being told to do, I'd have another fix in mind - Reformat, never to revisit FS again. Holy smokes! If this is what's in our future, I'm not impressed. [Edit] - Guess the notification system isn't any too quick either. Nothing showing for my installation in the way of an update. Maybe tomorrow

Strange but folks in the VA I belong to are not getting an update notice in Central v3.1 either. Can't find any notice on the ORBX Release Announcements forum either. All I know is I started Central the other day and Global Base Pack had an Update Available notice so I D/L it.

Ohhh ?? Something sounds fishy about that. Any chance your machine has been hacked? I mean, maybe some nefarious individual frustrated with Orbx has hacked their system and is in the process of taking over your computer . Or, the aliens have landed and you're the test case. Or, you're being "re-unified" (resistance is futile by the way). Either way, this is very strange! Does everything still work ok?

I just got a pop-up notification window to update to v3.1.0.1. My current version is v3.1.0.2. It only lasted for a flash and then I was told about my missing libraries. No indication of an update to Global. I'm not well pleased. Ahh, capitalism ... (Sorry, Don, I know I broke the rules this time)

Hi GrayRider,
your FTX Central is correct: the current version of Global Base is v1.40, dated Sept 2015, and no further update is in the works at this time.
FYI, you can determine your installed version by placing the mouse cursor over the "This product is installed and up-to-date!" line.
Cheers, Holger

FWIW I cited the same thread on sites where I posted about the update notice in FTX Central v3
I still have no idea why my Central (v3.1.0.2) suddenly popped up with an update available. Following Holger's directions in the forum post cited, it tells me Global Base Pack is version 1.40 September 2015. However when I open the User Guide by clicking the 'User Guide' button it tells me Global Base Pack v1.40 September 2016??? In any case if your not getting a notification of an update in FTX Central and your Global Base Pack is v1.40 September 2015 I wouldn't worry about things. I'm chalking this anomaly up to another small FU by ORBX due to trying to 'have it all their way'.

The version report via Holger's advice says Global Base Pack v1.40 September 2015. However the manual says September 2016???
