I'd be interested in your comments on it.

Can't remember what I did right last night but, this morning, I can't make it stay running. It opens running and quits a few seconds later - engine and electrics. Attempts to restart (following their checklist) are no joy. Reloading the flight gets a fresh start followed, almost immediately by shut down and a short beeoing. Obviously doing something wrong - posted on their forum so we'll see.

Check to see if you have FSUIPC. There seems to be some interactions there that aren't kosher.

FSUIPC was the key. I reinstalled and it came up in the menu addons, the engine was running and stayed running. Went for a ride around and it did it all - Cherokee style. Acts like it has a castering nose wheel on the ground and zizagged a bit much on takeoff - just like that damn 310R. On landing it's stable 'til real close then starts to float so I just chopped the throttle, the nose pitched down and I wheelbarrowed it on - fortunately no one was looking.

Yeah, I never did get to the landing part. Too many issues before then. For the ground handling (and I agree totally) for any airplane that zig-zags too much, go in and reduce the steering angle to something like 12 to 15 degrees. That de-sensitizes the steering a lot so you don't overcontrol nearly as much. That is under the Contacts section, and it's the first entry in the list of contacts (Point.0=....). It's parameter #7 (remember it starts at 0, not 1) and will be something like 30 or 40 degrees. That should help a bit.

Turns out FSUIPC was not the key - got a support ticket going on that and the more I fly it (only when it starts) the less I like it. The flight dynamics need a lot of work - more time spent with this and less trying to emulate A2A would have been prudent. We'll see how this goes after the first patch.
Almost forgot. What is it telling you when an aircraft on the ground won't start (guess which) so you launch with another. After airborne you 'select an aircraft' (another guess) and it appears running and acting like everything's normal?
