Just coming on to let people know. It looks really, really good - A2A quality, but boy is this hobby getting expensive! This translates to $55 Cdn. Anyway, I will be getting it. It had better meet expectations though. That said, I'm going into it as though it will. One thing they do have modeled is failures. I sincerely hope you can turn that off. I have yet to see failures modeled realistically in any aircraft that boasts that feature (A2A seems to think major control failures is realistic - I had 3 in 6 months, 2 of which would have been fatal). I dealt with enough of those IRL (but "minor" ones like engine failures and frozen flaps) so I don't need those in the simulator as well. Anyway, I'll report back if someone else doesn't first.

OK, there is a paint kit with it and the failures are off by default. I'll be picking that up tonight.

Looking forward to hearing about it. The one thing I noticed, and it may be the angle of the screenshot, the struts seem to look long, like they don't compress enough. Again, it may be the angle. I hope so. I want every good Piper in my stable! I'm looking forward to hear what you think. One thing I like is the old radio stack! That's what I flew with!

Hell, the non-existent KingAir didn't cost that much .

Ahhh yes, but AIR is less expensive than an airplane, even one made of electrons! THAT is the difference

I watched this movie. It was the angle of the pictures. The struts look correct. Nice plane. I am going for this one.

Glenn - look at this panel. This is an Archer from Brazil. Note the main AH. No markings. Note the SECOND (?) AH - markings. WTF?

Yeah, I wonder what the regs are for IFR certification as far as that might go in N.A.? They said they followed the a/c faithfully though and I have no reason to doubt them. The other issues remain though. It sounds like the GPS alerts I'm getting are because my GTN isn't the latest, yet when I switch to the GTN the alert goes away. It would appear though that as a result I can't use the Garmin 100 option unless I upgrade my GTN, which for various reasons I'm not going to do.
The sounds issue they say are going to be brought up with TSS. I just don't get how this is something that makes it through the alpha stage never mind beta! Good heavens, even if you drive a car, you know that sound changes with power, yet this seems to be something that most developers don't get! It's one of the most critical things of the whole package when it comes to the immersion bit. Anyway I seriously doubt that will be fixed.
Fritz, this post might give you some insights but check your PM.

That bird looks tempting but, like Fritz, I hesitate because of the price. I wonder how it compares to the A2A Comanche ?

I've had that bird for sometime, thanks. I've just checked and its a little more costly than the Arrow. Cheers.

After my evening intake of "Moosehead" I went ahead and bought it. Sure is purty.
