Anyone here have any scenery, or know anything about FS Dream Team? Thoughts and knowledge would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have some of their scenery. I'm very happy with it, and have had no problems with it. I can't tell you what I have right now, I'm on the school computer in the living room, not the flight sim computer in the bedroom. Will report back later on that. LOL Sue
OK, I have their Vancouver, LA, Zurich, and Geneva airports. They are darn near OrbX quality, and play well together with my OrbX stuff. If you have Jon Patch's Vancouver Plus; it too, plays well with the FSDT airport. I have them installed in P3D 3.4 btw.

Hi Sue, Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I've been pretty buried the last couple of days or so. Thanks very much for the info. I will give this some serious thought. I am starting to have problems running the heavier stuff now on my system though, so I may be forced back into the small stuff, thus lighter weight airports. We'll see what happens, but this is good info to have. Much appreciated.

Sue, how do you like Vancouver? How smooth is it when taxiing around the airport? Equinox's North American HQ is at CYVR so a really good version of this would be nice.
Thanks.

Well I'm not flying tube liners, but all the GA I've flown have been smooth. The Twin Beech and the Piper Navajo and Aztec are about the biggest things I've used there. There's a demo version- www.fsdreamteam.com/products_cyvr.html Sue "Purchase Method Vancouver International Airport is a Try-Before-Buy product. You will freely download a Demo version, that will work in full for 5-6 minutes at time. The Demo can be unlocked by purchasing the product, directly inside Flight Simulator. Refer to the fsdt_install_guide.pdf document found under the fsdreamteam folder under the FS folder after the installation for more details"

It just hit me who these people are. I refuse to buy from them for this reason: I installed Ft. Lauderdale almost two years ago. Prior to two years ago, the real-world airport removed an entire diagonal runway (13-31) AND extended the south runway (10-28) by 4000 feet. (remember REMOVED an entire runway and EXTENDED one by 4000 FEET!) When I downloaded the trial, NONE of that was there. I wrote to them, and was more or less told that they were aware of the changes but would NOT be updating the airport. I could see if they moved a row of trees, or even added one new hangar and not updated the scenery. However, when the deletion of a 6000 foot runway and the addition of another 4000 is not considered update worthy, nor will it ever be in their opinion, they can keep their scenery and anything else they make. It looked good, but why would I purchase an inaccurate product, knowing they don't care enough to make it accurate. They can keep it and their attitude.

Thanks Sue and Don.
I remember you telling me about that Don. That's a shame given how many airports they've done, but that hits me wrong as well. I go by the RW charts and if I'm setting up for final only to discover the runway doesn't exist when I break out, I'd be flipping out on them. Thanks for the HU. I'll steer clear of them.
By the by, I think they are connected to Flightbeam. There seem to be a LOT of similarities between those two, particularly in what you download and install (addon manager for one). As well, I think the main guy there is Umberto (or something like that). Does that name sound familiar? I may have to look into that and if that's the case, I'll deep-six that as well. Again, thanks for the HU.

I found a freeware offering for FLL that at least gets the runways correct. Is it as detailed? No way. However, the runways looks like what they should look like. That to me is more important than what's written on a sign, and the approach plates don't match the visual!

For sure!! That's just wrong. What sucks is the freeware enhancement I have for CYVR doesn't have much room for heavy cargo machines. I'll have to check it out further, but I may have a problem if I can't find more space. It's not good to back a 747 onto the grass, especially this time of year <LOL>.

I don't think so. I downloaded the "try" version in 2015, and it was still wrong.
