Next question - is anyone running FSX under Windows 10 and if so, are you finding you have addons or FSX itself that doesn't run right (or at all)?
Thanks.

I've been running Windows 10 since not long after it came out. I haven't had any issues with FSX or any of my add-ons so far. I am running FSX Steam, a lot of ORBX stuff, Carenado, Alabeo planes, AS2016, GTN 650/750, Ultimate Traffic II, and various freeware scenery.
I had more issues with some of my Saitek flight hardware working properly early on. That has since seemed to have been resolved with driver updates.

Running FSX in WIN10 since it came out without any problems with the sim. Now WIN10 itself is a bit different, seems like they love to push updates (which you can't stop) and the technique that worked yesterday to do something might be changed or the screen you just got used to will be different than before. M$ is once again allowing we mere mortals to be their BETA testors. But FSX works OK. P3D I don't use until the time I do not have to buy the new version on a monthly basis.

If you get Windows 10 Professional or higher, you can at least defer updates (aside from security releases). You can upgrade a home license later at any time. It will cost about an extra $100 or so though . -Scott

Amen to that!! Not to mention reloading the sim every other month, hoping all developers update their installers, etc., etc. just to run another 32 bit game. What a scam.

Yeah, whichever route I go (W7 or W10) it will be the pro version. No restrictions on it compared with the Home version.
