We haven't had a quiz for a spell. What's this? I can't remember his name, but it was some mad Englishman that flew it from England to Australia just after WWII.

I was going to say either a Gypsy Moth or Ranger engine. Since you said he was a mad Englishman I'll go with Gypsy Moth. So I'll guess Dehavilland Moth Minor Coupe.
Oops, wrong tail for the Moth. Whatever it is, I like it.

How about "A town like Alice"? I haven't read that book for a very long time. To be frank, I haven't read any of Shute's books since I was a teenager.
