Hi, all! As many of you know, I have been involved with flight simulation since 1999. I have developed scenery, made aircraft, worked on AI, ran numerous sites, and was involved with several VAs. Since 1999, I primarily settled into Alaska, and was one of the first scenery designers to concentrate on that area. My old site, Alaska By Don, brought many into the bush flying arena, who prior to that, had never considered bush flying. Fast forward to roughly 2014.
After 15 years of flying Alaska, I had pretty much gotten tired of it, and wanted to fly elsewhere. My interests went to regional carriers, general aviation, small charter planes, something different. Many others at Bushpounder's started to do the same thing in different parts of the world. I enjoyed seeing the screenshots and reading the PIREPS from these newly discovered areas. During this time, the site remained Bushpounder's Bush Flying Alaska / Canada. Recently, most of the flying done was being done outside of Alaska and Canada. To keep up with this eclectic type of flying, I felt a name change would set the groundwork for more of what we do here. While myself and others will still fly bush in Alaska and Canada (hell, with all the ORBX sceneries out there, one has to STILL fly those areas!) we all go beyond those areas.
Effective today, the site will be renamed to Bushpounder's Bush Flying and Beyond, since that is what we really do. Bush flying can be Alaska, Canada, Borneo, anywhere, it doesn't matter! ALL of it is interesting. If one wants to fly 747s into Frankfurt, this is the place. Perhaps we can grow our base of active people if we expand our activity base. The same rules apply as before - participation is MANDATORY! I went to a site the other night where nothing had been posted in two years, except for the poor guy who basically did ALL the writing himself. That's crazy! We all learn from others, and the interaction on this site is what sets it apart from all the other sites out there. This is more of a family than just another forum.
So welcome, all, to the NEW Bushpounder's Bush Flying and Beyond!

As a note - the price of beer is still the same. However urinal prices just doubled!
