To change the subject a little. I thought I would fire up my Eaglesoft Citation X for a little X country. ---- firstoff, I'll be danged if I could get all the panel displays to show [ come alive, lightup] and in the attempts to change views I get a 'serious error' message and shut downs. I then figured that maybe I had better just redownload the A/C and reinstall--maybe that will fix things. ___Big mistake--the A/C is downloaded from Flight 1. ' $$%^^#EE$%^' That is what I think of that outfit. I've spent literally hours, trying to redownload the A/C. The problems ran from --- invalid Key, to A/C not in the account[ BS] I've exchanged several E mails trying to get it sorted out to no avail. I, over the years have used a lot of Flight sim stores for my downloads and In my experience that outfit is the most most complicated and difficult to deal with. Just about every time I have used them I end up frustrated , pissed off,and or just plain angry at them. I guess I will have to again swear off even using the developers that use that outfit. Sorry for the rant folks, but I had to let off a little steam, and you folks were the closest Carm.

I feel your pain - without a doubt the most frustrating outfit to deal with - Sue may have another in mind.

I've had similar experiences with them. The worst experience was the one time I changed my hard drive. I keep all my FSX stuff on a separate drive, and I bought a larger one. I cloned the old one over to the new drive and put it in, no fuss. Until Ultimate Traffic 2 failed to work due to an invalid license. Apparently their license has some hardware authentication and it didn't like the new drive. So I had to back up all my UT2 settings and re-install. And THEN I got the invalid key situation that required me email them a request for a new license. FINALLY all sorted out. All that trouble for changing a hard drive. I avoid them if at all possible at this point.

Funny, that's one I never had a problem with. Guess I've been lucky. As to the other, deponeth sayeth not. I'll just leave it to your imagination. Imagine a PO'ed mechanic, who has been riding motorcycles for a long time. Imagine the air turning blue... Sue

The file downloaded in 3 hours. For 7.2 gb on a 7mg DSL, that's as good as it gets. Sue

Out of curiosity, from whom do you purchase DSL?

Qwest, formerly Southwest Bell, formerly Mountain Bell. I can't afford anything faster. Sue
