The aviation world is all the poorer at the passing of RA "Bob" Hoover. I, just the other day started a book called 'Forever Flying' which is an autobiography by Bob. Amongst other highlights it has a Forward by Chuck Yeager-- a good pal of Bob. It says a lot of the man when you read of the many awards he received, both military and civilian. Examples--- Distinguished Flying Cross, Soldiers Medal for Valor, Air Medal with Clusters, Purple Heart, French Croix de Guerre. His civi awards are too many too mention here. He will be missed Carm.

The epitomy of the 'Natural Pilot', Bob Hoover taught his cadet instructors aerobatics - a great man, a great pilot.
