Nice on the outside, and she flys really nice. I need to play with the stalls. I couldn't get her to stall. Nice addition. Very basic VC. VERY basic. I am looking forward to repainting this one. BP;)

Isn't that what Sky King had, after the Bobcat?

I can't recall it being that yellow but that's no surprise. Certain synapses can no longer be trusted.

Agreed Don, it's a nice little bird. Color? I thought it was black and white?

According to Wikipedia, she was '' Coronado Yellow, Sierra Gold and White, with a gold interior''. Although several aircraft were used throughout the series, they were all called Songbird and were not numbered. I'm guessing that 'promo' a/c were numbered to give a sense of timing to their use. I only have vague recollections of the series but do remember it. Don't know what year this picture was taken but it gives a good look at one of the schemes she carried over her lifetime.

I don't remember any of those paint schemes but now I remember the radio show. I was just a little kid and I used to rush home after school to listen to it.

Here you are saying you can remember the radio show but not the TV series while I'm the opposite. I realize you're a bit more, ahem, mature than me but, isn't that a bit backwards? Makes me feel a lot older than my years! I do know that it was a Golden Age for TV, particularly westerns, even if the world was only in black and white. Sky King, Lone Ranger, Annie Oakley (I had a bit of a crush on Gail Davis at the time), Cisco Kid, Roy Rogers, Topper, Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, Zorro, Rin Tin Tin, Wyatt Earp - all glorious children of the 1950's.
