Pulled into a gas station back in the '70s in my Volkswagen. I filled the tank, and waited for the guy to come out to get my money. After several minutes, I went after him. He said " OH, I thought you were putting water in it." Really ? with a gas pump ? I almost said, yes, I was, and walked away, but I just wasn't raised that way, I paid him...
