Man, that sure looks good Todd! Nice job. Forgive me, but that looks like the VC that came with the aircraft. Is there something different about it? Looks great either way!
Funny how the DC 3 looks so at home in remote regions, isn't it?

Yes sir she sure does. That is the default VC that someone painted a sky blue and I further edited to be more of a gray and very pale blue in places. Its such a nice VC I dont want to go back to my old one, I just have to figure out how to add a modern radio stack and GPS or wait for someone else to do it and see how they did it. But I am sure someone will at some point. Until then I am flying her like she is and using the pop up GPS if I am doing a job.

Ahh, very nice. Looks great. The radios aren't all that terribly old actually. Not new but definitely not original equipment for this machine and they'll handle all the frequencies (I think - I haven't used them that much yet). On the GPS, just for fun you could steal the one out of the 185, which basically is a handheld. Unless you're opting for something really advanced like the GTN, the 295 would work nicely and it's also quite realistic to have a hand-held in these cockpits (I've seen them in some fairly recent aircraft where they don't have a panel-mounted one). Don't know if that works for you, but it is an option. Now, I don't know if you'll be able to tie the autopilot into the GPS, but I'm not sure if you can with what they have now. Anyway, just a thought

THanks Glenn, its more other peoples work then my own. I just added things and adjusted the colors to where I wanted them. I appreciate the kind words though. Hey how the GPS is set up in the 185 would be perfect and I would think probably more realistic actually then something really advanced mounted into the panel. I was just looking for a simple GPS like you might see that someone would put in an old plane like this to bring it up to modern standards for quick navigation. If the radios are modern enough for you to be realistic then that is enough for me. You certainly would know.
I will have to try and figure out how to add that little GPS from the 185. Hopefully i can mount it somewhat like it is in the 185. That would be perfect.
Edit: Hmm it was the Beaver from Aerosoft that has that little handhelp GPS actually mounted. My mistake. Man wish I could do that with this DC-3. That would be perfect.

Yeah, the 185 has the same one I believe. The 185's is one you click the lower left side of the windscreen to get it to pop up. Let me see what I can do when I get home. I've done that sort of thing before so I might be able to figure it out. I wouldn't mind that in the DC 3 for myself.

Excellent paint and what you've done with the VC. That zinc chromate look gets a little old.

Repainted my VC to better match the outside but also more gray/green and brown. I think this is the final

There's a nice modified VC paint by Jan Visser at SOH. Darkened the upholstery - don't know if it's available for download.

It is Dave. I just put it in. There's a gray, brown and blue set. They look good!
