Not sure if anyone else follows TheHDAviation guy on YouTube. He's in Nelson BC, just uploaded "Cessna 185 Skywagon Compilation" today. So much for getting any work done!

Nice little video. Since I don't get to see many GA aircraft where I live (and since I don't drive, I can't visit any of the local airports), just how common are unpainted lights? I am on a flight line to Pearson Int'l, over in Malton, so the big guys fly over all the time (including two as I'm typing!) but small aircraft are quite rare. I also see (or more usually hear) the Bandage series of helicopters fairly often as they head downtown to the heliport on Sick Kids Hospital. Some of them don't half make a racket!
I've got a 1/72 vacuform C185 in K2 Aviation 'Denali Taxi' markings that I should probably tackle before I get too old to see it!

And 1/72 too, that's got to be a tiny kit.

Yeah, it's not very big at all. Wingspan of 6'' and just over 4'' long. I was lucky to get one of the very last sets of the K2 decals for mine. I also got a kit for 'Wop' May's Bellanca Pacemaker CH-300 with a choice of 4 different markings and 3 styles - wheels. floats or skis! Decisions, decisions!

If there is an interest, I'll open up a modeling section.

At one time I had quite a ceiling full of A/C models but, over the years they have gone somewhere. All I have left are two of my favourite aircraft. Both are Corgi's and 1/72 scale they are a Mosquito fighter bomber and a MK 5 Spit. These two I have had--so it seems, forever, and have an honoured place in my family room . They both over the years have got scars etc such as the Mossy has lost all but the bases of her nose guns and also she has thrown a blade off the stbd engine. I've tried several times to make one and glue it on, but it never looks right so she has a blade short on one engine. I get the urge every now and then to get the Corgi Lanc in VERA colours then I look at the price and that takes care of that., Some day I may in a moment of madness go over to Hamilton and get one from the Canadian Warplane Heritage museum where our Lanc VERA lives. Cheers, Carm.

Carm, the Mossie flies well on one engine.......there is a video of here doing a loop on one stove, so no worries aboutt he bird tossing it's prop.. the crew is good..... I am helping restore a Mosquito in Nanton, a B35.... oh be still my heart...... a model section would be cool... the KeeKha kit is really n ice, and never worry about ordering from Lars in Alaska, he is a REAL good guy....and really into bush flying history.. VERY knowledgeable..... a good buddy of mine

Lars really is a nice guy. I only bought the two kits but I got several weeks worth of back and forth communication in the bargain. He sent me dozens of photos on the aircraft, including several that were mentioned only in passing, loke the Fairchild F-71. I got over 50 photos on that one alone! We even had talks about sailing ship models, another of my many interests in the hobby.
